The Green Dragon at Bedale

The room was quite small but it had everything needed. It had a wow factor with the wooden beams and being across a corner. The toilet/shower looked brand new it was so clean. The staff were really friendly. The breakfast chef was amazing as he was on his own yet he stayed calm, friendly and the breakfast was excellent!! Thank you! The evening meal was also lovely! There was a good atmosphere in the bar.

My Partner & I booked this Hotel on our way home from The Wellington Heifer but as in my view of the Wellington HeiferI ended up staying here on my own as my Partner had a terrrible fall in the unsafe shower at the Wellington Eifer. Therefore I ended up staying here alone as my Partner was in Hospital. The staff were absolutely Brilliant lots of sympathy & empathy for me none of which we got at The Wellington Heifer. But staff at this Hotel were great as they could see I was terribly upset.

We were visiting friends who lived locally and The Green Dragon was perfect for us. A beautiful and comfortable room even with our 3 year old cocker spaniel! The bed was huge and super comfortable We loved the beer garden and totally dog friendly 😀 we had a meal in the pub one night and it was a great menu and delicious. We loved how we could use the back entrance to our room so we weren't trailing our wet dog through the bar or muddy shoes. They even provided a huge umbrella if so needed🥰

Lovely lively pub in the centre of Bedale. We enjoyed a tasty dinner down in the bar which is dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and so were the locals. Our room 4 was nicely decorated and furnished, clean and comfortable. It looked onto the rear of the pub which made it quiet. The bed was really comfy with good quality linen. The bathroom was compact but adequate. Breakfast was nice could have done with slightly more choice on the continental side for the price point. Great stay and would recommend.

Staff lovely, couldnt be more helpful, beautiful dog friendly room, more amenities than you get in much more expensive hotels. Probabaly best cooked breakfast we've had away from home! Great location for surrounding areas, and plenty going on in town itself!
